JDSU presents its affordable Certifier, the NT950 Validator. The Validator Certification tester is a full-featured Performance Certifier for all cables in the home and business. The included custom software allows a user to layout a floor plan, denotes where each cable drop will be installed, tests and certifies the system, documents the cable job, prints out reports, and archive jobs for future adds, moves or changes. The Validator measures and presents clear SPEED and PERFORMANCE with results up to 1 gigabit. Speed certification assures the cable will perform to it's rating. Certify: The Validator LAN Certifier Kit will certify network cable runs up to Gigabit speeds as per IEEE 802.3, TIA 568B and TIA/EIA-TSB-67 tests for physical problems in computer networks, cable, telephone, audio, and security/alarm wiring. It will find Opens and Shorts with TDR technology, and create reports to outline what the customer has asked for and the results of the installation. Network Layout: The Plan-Um software that is included with the Validator LAN Certifier allows an installer or integrator to sit with a client, create a layout or floor-plan of their home or offices, drop in icons showing network, telephone, cable, audio, or security outlets, run cables between ports and patch panels and create a full job listing that can then be printed out and given to the customer for approval and estimation. Document: The result is an End of Job Report that has complete customer information, the installer information, test results against the floor plan, and a place for an installers signature indicating the job is done.
