The LanScaper Network Test Kit NT750 is the first in a line of Physical Layer Network Management Devices. The LanScaper combines the functions of a cable tester and length measurement device with the capability to monitor and correct problems associated with the physical layer
and link conditions of a network.
Features
1) Conducts link tests to identify speed/capabilities and activity of network drops.
2) Verifies functional speed capabilities of terminated unconnected cable runs by sampling data packets between two LanScaper units, which exercises the run and reports the results.
3) Identifies port services: POTS, Ethernet, ISDN, Token Ring...etc
4) Pings network devices to verify location, connection & IP address.
5) Automatically accesses DHCP hosts and obtains information.
6) Tests configuration and verifies connectivity and length of cable run while testing for opens, shorts and split pairs.
